Walter Luckett, a former Ohio University basketball player from 1972-1975, holds a special place in the heart of OU Bobcats. In 1972, Walter was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts and featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated in his first college year. He was also the first draft pick for the Detroit Pistons in the 1975 NBA draft.
